Committees
Admission Committee
Under the guidance of the Vice-Principals all the faculty members are involved in the admission process which is carried out as per the University norms.
Time - Table Committee
With smart planning, the committee in charge prepares Time Table and allocates the classrooms for all courses to ensure the smooth functioning of the lectures.
Attendance Committee
The committee regularly brings out the list of attendance defaulters. Parents are apprised of the situation and students are motivated to be regular in attending classes. Corrective steps for students are made to complete notes or solve question papers to cover up for the loss of attendance.
Discipline Committee
The committee ensures the smooth functioning of lectures, curricular and extra-curricular activities without any disruption. The presence of anti-ragging squad assures the newcomers a safe and secure welcome.
Examination Committee
The committee and the Co-coordinators of the unaided courses with their precise planning and execution conduct the various examinations and declare results on time. The examination schedule is planned and prepared at the beginning of each term every year and exams are conducted as per the schedule.
Result Improvement & Intensive Coaching (Degree College)
The Committee selects top 15 meritorious students from the TY B Com class on the basis of results of second year annual examination.

  • Two of these potential merit rankers are adopted by a teacher mentor.
  • These students are motivated for securing ranks at University examination. Several assignments and tests are conducted to monitor and improve their performance. Lecture series on "Effective preparation and presentation at T.Y.B.Com examination & to be subject toppers" are held every year.

Counseling session and contact lectures are held for the weaker students for improvement of their academic results.

The committee conducts every year various programmes like

  • Distribution of Scholar Cards
  • Allocation of the students to the teacher mentors
  • Monthly Assignments & tests
  • A workshop on 'Exercises to stimulate the Brain'

The subject experts from different institutions having wide experience as examiners, moderators and paper-setters at the T.Y.B.Com examinations are invited to deliver Expert lectures in the subjects of FAA I, FAA II, FAA III, DIT, IP, Economics and MHRM to the students.
Test Series (Junior College)
The committee ensures the smooth conduct of the Test Series for Standard XII students. Academically weaker students are made to write assignments to improve their performance. Subject experts, Prof. Sharma and Mr. Narvekar are invited to deliver the guidance lectures in subjects of Mathematics and Book Keeping.
Library Committee
With over 15,000 books and 67 journals, 12 of them foreign, our library is a much frequented place by students and teachers alike. Last year 1420 books + 26 CDs have already been added. The ever helpful librarian and the staff ensure that the library is extensively used. Computerization of books is complete.

The Library has membership with various educational libraries like British Council Library & American Information Centre. It also organizes Book Exhibition regularly.
Teacher In-Charge Scheme
Every class has a designated class teacher who acts as mentor. The students are encouraged to approach their class teachers whenever they are faced with any problems academic or personal.
Cultural Association
The beginning of the year is marked by the selection of participants for the various inter-collegiate competitions. Students are encouraged to participate in various cultural competitions organized by the University as well as other colleges. The students of B.Com (A&F) and B.Com (B&I) lifted the trophy at the inter collegiate festival organized by L.S.Raheja College for two consecutive years 2007-08 & 2008-09. The association also puts up an entertaining programme at the Annual Prize Distribution.
Film Club
The film club, "Magic Lantern" was started in 2007 with the intention of providing students an exposure to world-class cinema. It was inaugurated by veteran actor and director Mr. Naseerudin Shah who spoke to a delighted audience on "Parallel Cinema". This was followed by an interactive session. The students were more enthused as they had already watched the veteran's film, 'Sparsh'.

Magazine Committee
Published annually, the college magazine, Spectrum provides an effective outlet for young talented students to get their original articles and creative work in print. It is also a record of the important events in the college and of the success of our young achievers with a special focus on the achievements of staff of the college as well.
Mélange, a journal of , by and for the lecturers of the college was formally released by Dr. Snehalata Deshmukh, former Vice-Chancellor, University of Mumbai, on Teachers’ Day 09.
Students Aid Fund & Book Bank Committee
Students who need financial assistance and books for their academic benefit seek help through this fund. This fund also sponsors some short term courses like Public Speaking for these students.
Alumni Association
The alumni association brings former students back to their alma mater year after year. Our former students gather at the college every year on 26th January. The alumni has its presence felt in a number of cities the world over, besides Mumbai where the largest number of alumni are based. Alumni have been actively involved in various activities of the college.
Registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 organizes a Alumni meet every year followed by cultural program and dinner.

  • It is one of the most active cell of the college which organizes programmes and activities on Research for students and teachers. A programme was organised by Research cell on " HOW TO WRITE RESEARCH PAPERS " by Dr. Arvind Luhar on Saturday 1st September 2012".

Quality Management
IQAC
  • The committee follows Internal Quality Maintenance and Improvement as laid down by NAAC.
ISO
  • The ISO committee conducts internal audit as required by ISO specifications. The authorities visited on 26/02/2009 and the college was awarded the ISO 9001:2008 Certification.
