The SIES Junior College (index no. J.3104018) is one of the reputed Colleges in Mumbai known for high academic success, discipline and efficient management.  For the past many years the College has had over 98% success rate at HSC Examinations, also achieving 100% results in many years including 2007-08 and 2008-09.
The subjects offered at the Junior College classes are:-
FYJC (STD – XI)
a) Optional subjects Hindi/Marathi/French*/IT**
b) Compulsory subjects
  • English
  • Book Keeping & Accountancy
  • Organisation of Commerce and Management
  • Mathematics and Statistics
  • Economics
  • Environmental Education
* If the students had opted the language at the STD X level.
   If adequate number of students opt for French.
**IT will be given based on merit.
SYJC (STD – XII)
a) Optional subjects Hindi/Marathi/Tamil/Gujarati/Sanskrit/French/IT
b) Compulsory subjects
  • English
  • Book Keeping & Accountancy
  • Organisation of Commerce and Management
  • Mathematics and Statistics
  • Economics
  • Environment Education

   If adequate number of students opt for French.
**IT will be given based on merit.
Note: The College reserves its right to offer students the language as it seems fit to.

Rules Concerning Attendance:

For granting the terms in each subject, a minimum attendance of 75% of the theory lectures, practicals and tutorials (wherever prescribed) separately will be required out of the total number of lectures, practicals and tutorials in the subject conducted in the terms. If the student fails to follow the rules, the college reserves its right to deny admission to the higher class and withhold the HSC form.
Examinations:
1.
FYJC: Four examinations are conducted consisting of 2 unit tests carrying 50 marks each & 2 semester exams of 100 marks each.

SYJC: Two examinations (100 marks each) are conducted, I Terminal & Preliminary examination.
3.
Test Series in SYJC is conducted for students who score less mark in FYJC. Test series consists of four exams - Two exams of 50 marks, two hours each held in August and September. Two exams of 100 marks, 3 hours each held in November and January.
4.
Promotion to the SYJC class will be on the basis of the performance at all the FYJC examinations, held during the academic year, as per the rules prescribed by the Mumbai Board.
5.
The details regarding the examinations will be displayed on the notice board from well in advance.
6.
A student found to have used unfair means at any examination conducted during the year will not be elilgible for admission to SYJC.
